About Swire Oilfield Services

Swire Oilfield Services Australia is a specialist in the offshore supply of DnV 2.7-1 certified cargo carrying units such as containers, baskets and tanks as well as a supplier of offshore pumping, filtration and offshore aviation related products & services.

The Australian division is part of the much larger Swire Oilfield Services Group which boasts the world’s largest fleet of DnV 2.7-1 certified containers, baskets and tanks now totalling well over 40,000 rental units.

Swire Oilfield Services Ltd (UK) was established in 1979 in Aberdeen and is owned by the parent John Swire & Sons Ltd which was founded in 1816. Today JS&S employs over 120,000 people worldwide.

Some of the better known Swire brands include Cathay Pacific, Swire Pacific Offshore, Swire Shipping and Swire Cold Storage.

The Australian division began in 2001 as Maritime Products & Services and MPS Offshore Leasing Pty Ltd and was acquired by Swire Oilfield Services in August 2008.
